BuzzGum’s journey to the National Finals in Mullingar was an unforgettable experience. After a long road trip from Skibbereen, we stayed overnight at the Bloomfield House Hotel before travelling to the Mullingar Park Hotel early the next morning. Setting up our stand and seeing the wide range of innovative and creative Mini Companies from across the country was inspiring. Competing at a national level was an amazing experience and a highlight of our Mini Company journey.
We're thrilled to announce that BuzzGum has been selected for PatchLabs which will showcase in the National Final of the Student Enterprise Programme, taking place on Thursday, 8th May 2025, at the Mullingar Park Hotel.
This achievement reflects our team's dedication, creativity and hard work. We're excited to present our product on a national level and connect with fellow young entrepreneurs from across Ireland.
A heartfelt thank you to our mentors, teachers and supporters who've been with us every step of the way.
Stay tuned for updates as we prepare for this exciting day. Let's bring the buzz to Mullingar! 🐝💪
BuzzGum is excited to share that we recently competed at the Regional Finals of the Student Enterprise Competition held at the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery. Alongside two other mini-companies from our school, we presented our eco-friendly gum to a panel of three judges who tested our samples on the day. We are proud to announce that BuzzGum was awarded the Award for Innovation and achieved 2nd place overall. This victory marks a major milestone as our first big win for the company, and we couldn’t be more delighted to see our hard work and dedication pay off!
At our recent Food and Hospitality School Event, BuzzGum had the opportunity to compete alongside various food and hospitality stands, each showcasing unique recipes. The event featured four esteemed judges, including Ruth Field, who also announced the prize winners at the end of the day. Although BuzzGum didn’t win an overall prize, we were honored to receive the Award for Best Stand Display. We are incredibly proud of our team for creating an engaging and visually appealing stand that truly represented our brand, and we look forward to more opportunities to showcase BuzzGum!
In our Mini Company Module, BuzzGum competed to earn a spot in the Regional Finals. Alongside other mini-companies, we showcased our eco-friendly gum to two judges (Mr. John Dullea and Ms. Caroline Murphy). We were thrilled to hear the news that BuzzGum came in first place, earning the opportunity to represent our school at the Regional Finals of the Student Enterprise Competition in Rosscarbery. This was an exciting moment for our team, and we couldn’t be more proud to move forward in the competition!
